Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 hardware held as the No. 7 hardware in the latest Japan retail figures.
Media Create Co. on Fri. reported that the Xbox 360 sold 2,763 units between May 9 and May 15 to rank No. 7 in overall sales.
By comparison, the hardware sold 3,419 units the week prior.
The hardware did not rank any titles in the top 10.
Microsoft in Apr. reported a profit in its Entertainment and Devices division, which includes the Xbox business due to strong demand for the Xbox 360 and Kinect peripheral.
The Entertainment and Devices division recorded revenue of $1.94 billion in the third quarter ending Mar. 31.
Operating income increased 50 percent to $225 million.
Revenue for the Xbox 360 platform increased 69 percent to $712 million.
The company sold 2.7 million Xbox 360 consoles in the quarter and 2.4 million Kinect sensors in the period.

The Xbox 360 4GB hardware SKU with Kinect and Kinect Adventures sells at $299.99 in Nov.
Finally, the Xbox 360 Holiday Bundle, which includes the Xbox 360 250GB hardware, a copy of Forza Motorsport 3 and a voucher to download Alan Wake via Xbox Live, sells at $299.99.
